The Tahoe is available in LS, LT, and Premier trims with increasing levels of equipment and refinement. LS models have the bold grille in black with active aero shutters, distinctive daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, side steps, heated power mirrors, roof rails, and rear privacy glass.

LT trim adds a programmable power liftgate, while the Premier has xenon headlights, fog lights, 20-inch wheels, body-color side moldings, automatic dimming mirrors with integrated turn signals, and a hands-free programmable liftgate.

Engine (Power)

Under the hood is a 5.3-liter V-8 engine delivering 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque to the rear or all four wheels. It's mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting functions. The 2018 Premier trim offers the option of the RST Performance Edition package featuring a 6.2-liter V-8 that generates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque via smooth shifting 10-speed automatic transmission.

The standard engine will return best-in-class V-8 fuel economy of up to 22 mpg for highway driving and 15 mpg in the city. When equipped with the available Max Trailering Package, the Tahoe has an impressive towing capacity of up to 8,600 pounds. Smooth ride suspension on the LS and LT assures passenger comfort, while Premier trim features magnetic ride control for the ultimate in refined ride quality.

Interior

With a full complement of passengers, you can stow up to 15.3 cubic feet of gear. With the 60/40 split third row folded, you have 51.7 cubic feet of cargo space and, when you need serious hauling capacity, folding the second and third rows gives you 94.7 cubic feet.

LS trim has cloth upholstery with standard front bucket seats, or the option of a front bench seat, power front seats, and 60/40 split folding second-row seats. Also featured are remote keyless entry and start, a 4.2-inch driver information display, three-zone climate control, leather-bound steering wheel, and a 110-volt power outlet.

The Chevrolet infotainment system features an 8-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, voice activation, 4G Wi-Fi hot spot, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a six-speaker sound system with a CD player and satellite and HD radio.

LT models add leather upholstery, heated front seats, tilt and telescoping steering column, power adjustable pedals, and a Bose nine-speaker audio system. Premier trim offers heated and ventilated front seats, heated power second-row bucket seats, power third row, a heated steering wheel, navigation, wireless charging, and a 10-speaker Bose surround sound system.

The Tahoe's standard safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, trailer sway control, rear parking sensors, rear vision camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The LT has forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure alert, and a safety alert seat; while the Premier trim features front and rear parking sensors, lane change alert with side blind zone warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.
