The trail is a one-and-a-quarter-mile loop, so whether you want to go around once, twice, or several times, you can choose your intensity level every time you come.

Legacy Trail is located at Three Lakes Parkway and Old Jacksonville Highway and is a popular hiking and biking trail that features 10-foot wide concrete paths. The total length of the trail is 4.5 miles and is the perfect spot for those who want a smooth terrain as opposed to a gravel path.

Most of the trail is shaded by the tall Tyler trees, which helps it feel cooler during the hottest of the summer months. You’ll even be able to veer off the trail to enjoy some of the nearby stores that are accessible from the trail. They have resting spot benches, and the trail is clearly marked, so you’ll never have to worry about getting lost.

Here you’ll have the option of 13 miles of trails, including the Whispering Pines Nature Trail, which is a 3/4 mile easy loop that features a variety of trees and even a small waterfall. If you are more of an advanced hiker or mountain biker, you can take on the more advanced loops.
