Kiepersol Winery and Vineyard

Located right in Tyler, Texas, the Kiepersol Winery and Vineyard is a remarkable place to visit. You can take a behind-the-scenes tour and learn about the process of winemaking. The farm is located atop the Bullard Salt Dome and includes a beautiful 63-acre vineyard with 16 varieties of grapes planted. You’ll find it among the trees in the countryside, and it’s a sight to behold in and of itself. They offer personalized tours that share the history of Kiepersol as well as tours of the microdistillery and batch barrel room.

The Grand Tasting Room offers bistro food for purchase with your wine. Kiepersol also has a full-service restaurant on-site, offering delectable dishes at this fine-dining experience. Make your trip a memorable one by staying at the bed-and-breakfast on the farm. They have 15 rooms scattered throughout the estate to offer guests a chance to relax and unwind. Overnight guests have a choice of several breakfast options, including the Kiepersol Eggs Benedict, served with filet mignon and breakfast potatoes. Another option for overnight stays is the Bushman’s RV park 3 miles down the road.

Kiepersol produces 100% Texas wines with a wide variety from zinfandel and moscato to syrah and ruby port, and everything in between. They also began a distillery in 2014 to make gin, vodka, rum, bourbon, and tequila. Join the Kiepersol Club to enjoy limited wines, exclusive events, and discounts. Briar Creek Vineyards

Located less than a half-hour from Tyler, you’ll find the Briar Creek Vineyards in Whitehouse. This vineyard is 2.5-acres of red grapes that produce merlot, syrah, sangiovese, zinfandel, and cabernet sauvignon wines for the Briar Creek label. They host tasting sessions every Saturday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. You can also call to make a reservation to visit them Sunday through Friday. They also offer the vineyard and winery as a location for guests to host small events.

Wines are produced on-site, with an August harvest providing six to nine tons of grapes annually, making approximately 300-350 cases of their wines. Join Briar Creek’s wine club to enjoy invites to their quarterly pickup parties, a 15% discount on wine purchases, free pouring for tastings, and your choice of three, six, or 12 bottles of wine per quarter.
